There

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I saw a man standing there
who was looking quite cpnfused.
The expression on his face
said he was feeling broken and abused.
I stood there long and wondered
what his life must be like,
For his face was long and drawn
and his eyes were dark as night.
He stood there in front of me
but I swear that he was somewhere else,
and even though i saw him there
he was trying to find himself.
His emotions were intense,
I could feel his deepest fear
the from a hollow eye
he produced a single tear.
We stood there face to face
and never said a word.
I wanted to say "It'll be alright."
but somehow i think he heard.
Ice must have entered my veins
because i suddenly felt a chill.
We'd been standing there for hours
sharing everything that we could feel.
Then in an instant my life was changed
and everything seemed much clearer.
The deepest thoughts from his emotions
stormed in me, as I walked away from that mirror

Dennis
