My Mother

Contributed by Deep_Within_My_Heart on Monday, 16th May 2005 @ 09:15:34 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

At times life can be so cruel,
I've done all I can to try and keep my cool.
Sometimes it gets so tough I want to end my life,
Above my wrists I nervously hold the knife.
Suddenly I break down and begin to cry,
I start thinking about the ones I love,
I couldn't say goodbye.
I think of all the happy times we've had with each other,
I think of how much I love and mean to my mother.
I know I won't be just taking the life of my own,
I would of taken the life of everyone I've known.
I push the knife down pushing it aside,
Then turn around and cry.
My mom is cradeling me in her arms,
I'm still alive and she is the reason why!

A very emotional poem. You couldn't take your life because it would make everyone that loves you sad. It's very good.
