We're Still As One
I haven't seen you in a while
but I feel you're with me now
For I feel your heart reaching out
for mine, although I know not how
I wish that I could comfort you
in your struggle to be free
I can't though 'cause I love you
and need you close to me
So I will turn away my heart
from my thoughts in loving you
I will try to help you somehow
oh Lord, what can I do
I want to tell you how it is
to love and not be freed
From the ever tightening grasp
you have, where love has sown it's seed
You want your freedom,
I want my heart, so I can love again
Why did we ever fall in love
we should have stayed as friends
But you always told my fears
to go and hide away
You told me you would love me
up 'till my dying day
I did not want to listen
to promises, as such
But now I've fallen and I can't escape,
for I love you way too much
Please help me to get over you,
release your hold on me
It is of course, invisible,
oh why did I not see
That though you said you loved me,
your words just told me lies
You care for me, but that is not
enough, to stop my cries
I will go on with my life
as it is only right
I'll live each day as I should
and mourn for you by night.
