This Thing Burning In My Blood

This thing burning my blood, do you know what it is?
It races through my veins , I cant stop it when it happens.
It poisons every inch of my body, head to toe.
Do you know what it is yet?
I dont like the feel, I feel like my head will explode, maybe I will.
I have to release the poison, which flows in my blood, this thing is wanting out.
I fight it back, back with everything, every bit I of strength I have to hold it back.
This thing I am talking about it anger , hate.
It boils up inside of me and I have so much trouble holding it back at times.
I want to scream, and yell to relieve the built up pressure that I feel inside of me, Or maybe I feel like hitting something, well that wont help, NO
Dont think so, neither one.
So I just sit with this poison flowing through me, waiting for it to ease up waiting until I can once again get control of it.
And go on living as though life is happy, and live life as it should be, until this thing burning my blood comes back again. You know it will be back, it always seem to come back, no matter how much we dont want it to, or we pray it to stay away.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
