MYSTERY VISITOR

A lingering darkness hovering above me
a mist, a vision of something unclear;
This apparition of black mass flowing freely
looking down into my soul teasing my fear;
The chilling air sets over my flesh and bones
tearing at my mind and gripping my heart;
A ghostly figure, a trespasser who will not go
always with me here at night to play his part;
A flowing spirit to tease me as I lie
a mystery visitor that does not speak to me;
Just another mental tormentor of my soul
that vanishes at light until next I sleep.
