take my dreams and crush them now
and in there parting let me vow
never again will i let this foolish heart dream
for it is wrong this much i have gleamed
i let my hope fly around
only to have it shot down, brought to the ground
whisper with me as i pray within this roar
of this ever tormenting shore
and within my eye
i see the forever open sky
tempting and calling
but forbidden is it to let my dreams fly
how many, yet so few
and ever do they creep
to my hidden heart so deep
but denied are they....denied
and so i weep, i weep
"dream within a dream"
scream within a scream
all that has been taken
at the seams my heart is breakin
go ahead and laugh at me now
never again will i dream, this is my vow

| This was poem is ok, i would have like maybe a hint of what happened to make you think this. Sorry vamp but your only saying that coz your in soppy love land and optimistic. Sometimes there isn't hope. |

| I agree with Vamp.... never give up on dreams. And it is a very good poem, it hit me with an impact because I can relate, I've felt the exact feelings of which you've written. |

Hmmmm good write.
It evokes that feeling of hopelessness quite cleanly.
We all do feel that way from to time...but hope is pretty durable. It usually finds a way to rebound.

very powerful and i could tell these thoughts came straight from your heart
i feel like this also...i always wonder whether it is worth dreaming or whether we should just drift along to avoid disappointment.
but maybe there will cum a time when our times shall come true..i mean we must keep hope my friend |

| I agree with others never give up on your dreams..........I was there once someone specail came into my life and showed me how to dream again................never give up on dreams or your poems for in a way our poems are our dreams.........keep up the great writing |
