Full Moon Rising

Contributed by Rakerman1999 on Saturday, 21st May 2005 @ 08:53:03 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

I saw a full moon rising
Within the sky so clear
And three stars danced to music
That no one else could hear
The trees looked on in silence
As twilight gained its hold
A rhythm held unchanging
From endless days of old

The crickets sing their chorus
Nocturnal serenade
The same as that first sunset
When Earth was newly made
A nighttime breeze blew softly
A chill upon the air
And I was lost in wonder
And peace beyond compare

'Tis true this world is troubled
'Tis true that man's to blame
But Nature will prevail
In this eternal game
And she will be the victor
O'er hate and greed and lust
While greatest Kings and Kingdoms
Will fade to naught but dust

L. Carling c2005

Splendiferous Larry;

The universe shall always be the victor and we her awed captives. Just a mere lifetime to enjoy the beauty makes me sad. I do so hope there is reincarnation.

Peace,
Rita
