I wait for the day that my soul will shine, I wait for that day, that day will be mine; I'll sit in the sun and with it's warmth, I'll thrive, I'll sit and just marvel at all the beauty I'll find; This is my dream, I've had it for quite awhile, I speak it under my breath just to see if I will smile; But deep in my mind I know it's just my denial, Because day after day it's hard to breathe much less smile.
That is his dream, his dream is that of a child, He will not see that dream, his soul is too vile; For him there is no warmth, he's right, it's denial, There is no beauty in the sun for him, he is not His child; I will be here, day after day, for me there is no time, I have been in here from the birth, this soul will be mine; His breath is my gift, I say when he shall die, I have my own dream for him, his dream is his own lie.
