FAREWELL

Contributed by Man_On_High on Wednesday, 25th May 2005 @ 10:44:13 PM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

I say to all the awful storm
that beat against my chest...

"Rage on as to destroy my soul
and lay me low at rest,
but now my spirit surging
like a river raging high,
much stronger on your fury's seen
within my blackest eye!"

I say to such a storm again:

"To me your threats I brave!
You'll drain my lasting drop of life
and crush me to the grave,
but all my spirit shall endure
and mock you all the while-
while meeting all your cloudy days
with an eternal smile"

I say to Cold, Neglect and Scorn:

"Pass on ..I fear you not...
though you persue me
'till me form and being are forgot-
but still my spirit that you see
undaunted all the while
gives from its own nobility,
a tender loving smile"

I say to friends:
(or so they say..)

"Your silence I shall bare..
it cannot add one bitter woe
to those already there
because my spirit that sustains
your last severe address
will smile with its saddened eyes,
and blame you nonetheless"

I'll say to Death's straightened shot:

"Aim true...do not delay..
You will not find a fearful heart
upon its final day
because my spirit's always free..
undaunted by dismay..
wrapped up in all eternity
and shall never pass away!"

ty my friends for all your beauty and kind words
you know who you are
Billy.. AKA.. M.O.H.

Please don't leave, Billy. I just found someone I can learn from and you go away. Is it something I said???? lol

Seriously, I do hope this is just a poem. I can learn so much by reading your work.

Smiles, and I guess, adios amigo;
Rita

Billy Your Not Leaving Or Are You?
Billy u can't leave I read this as a poem & not a farewell note. Maybe I've said or done something wrong? Please don't leave Billy. We all love ya here. You're an extraordinary talented poet who has a remarkable and unique style of writing. A real master in a class of his own. Remember what I'd said to u, we r here 4 u in good times and bad. You helped me get through a bad situation I had. Please reconsider Billy. You will be so sadly missed. It will not be the same without u here.
Your Loyal friend/ fan whose heart will break in pieces if u were to leave,
~sue~

Good GOD! How did I miss this one .. ???

Sweetheart , I have been floored by many writes you have shared, and
have stood back .. mouth agape .. holding my heart for fear it might just
burst forth from all the inspiring thoughts you conjure .. but baby .. TRULY
it has been the rare occasion that I've ever felt such an overwhelming
admiration and astonishment for your work!! This brilliant little piece is
so full of emotion and depth and beauty, (yes beauty) and .. and.. and YOU!!

and I must draw your attention to the very words you have ascribed, love.
Do you realize the affirmation within them? The mastery? The defiance?
The strength???

yes .. I've always said you have it in you to be and do ANYTHING, my love.
I hold fast to that conviction, for this, this right here, is testament to that
truth and possibility.

I am completely in love with this write!! ♥

(and you ~)
~Rox
