There was this love,
That surged inside my soul.
Begging me, consuming me,
Causing me to lose control.
But oneday you walked away,
You left me standing there.
Naked, cold, alone...
You mauled me, my heart was bare.
But I walked away with my pride,
Never lying about what we shared.
Throughout my truth I recovered,
From that hurt I was repaired.
But another day came along,
You begged me to be your all.
I told you no, I couldnt again,
I never again would fall.
You said you'd catch me,
And you'd love me all your life.
Promising me, cherishing me,
Always and forever being your wife.
You remind me,
Of the times we laughed, cried.
You spoke of true love,
Saying this feeling never died.
The tears begin to fall,
As I helplessly say I do.
Begging and pleading,
Dont make me hate you.
So I gave in to my emotions,
Let the inner love shine.
Only to be shot down again,
Again, I knew, things werent fine.
You've disappeared from my sight,
Again, Im alone and bare.
Wishing for you, waiting for you,
Always and forever, I'll wait for you there.
