this empty house has no voice
except the echo of mine
no one hears lack of choice
that we all fade in time
these walls are my shell
that protect me from pain
but they're also my hell
my pills of white stain
my imagery is fading
you'll now see me for real
in shallow waters i'm wading
for cold fish i can steal
i don't want to be seen
cause i'm addict of black
my pain can be mean
and my sympathy slack
these are my walls
none can break through
yes i hear all your calls
but i'm painted too blue....to care.

This was very good! It's nice to read a straightforward write once in awhile...Not everything has to be metaphors. Love the ending, by the way. Good job.
