Madness
rushes over me
like a river of dreams,
Washing over my mind
in delusionary streams,
Flooding my thoughts
with grand imaginary schemes,
Crashing waves of emotion
raging with intense speed;
Madness
controls my desires
with cruel visions of pain,
Taking over my senses
and deluting my brain,
Binding every notion of reality
with cold and soul crushing chains,
Keeping my sanity like a pet
trapped in its own nightmarish cage.
