The innocence of youth
Is fragile,
I am afraid the look is gone
From these eyes.
The heart of the child will
cease beating
And the dewy cheeks
of youth will turn ashen.
I fear the memories of you
will fade...
Leaving voices, unheard
And faces, blank parchment.
I long to see you once more,
Away from dreams,
In the sun's light
Holding you close,
Breathing your scent,
Never letting go.
