|
angry shouts heard in the night
defending yelling in return
voices tones go up and down
over and over in rhythm
i turn my head so pillows block
the heartache that never stops
can't run can't hide can't scream can't cry
all i can do is hope again
as i have before
that voices will slowly quiet to whispers
that moods will cool but still be bothered
that peace will come temporarily once more
and life will go back to a standstill
