Its hard to tell how strong the love was
When it was so long ago that it died
Its hard to tell how many tears have fallen
When theyve already been dabbed and dried
Its hard to make sense of the world
When you are still confused
Its hard to know who you can trust in life
When youre still scarred from being used
Its hard to hold something when youre nervous
For your hands, they tremble and shake
Its hard to give your heart to someone
For fear that it will all too soon break
Its hard these days to do anything
For lifes struggles are very strong
Its hard when you know youre not correct
For fear of admitting youre wrong
Its easy to tell someone how you feel
As long as they are still there
So tell them fast, before theyre gone
Let them know you care
