I am the stones
Shaped by life
The joy and the passion
Heartache and strife
Time is the water
Constant and moving
Thru me.. around me
Endlessly flowing
The cherished.. the painful
The events of life
Cling to the stones
They are held in the ice
Crystal and silent
Rigid and cold
Quietly...slowly....
The ice releases its hold
Memories ride
The water of time
Caressing and smoothing
The thoughts in my mind
I am the stones
The water is time
Polishing...shaping
This life I call mine.
