Lies, deceit Spoken so easily, Spoken so calmly
They all lied to me when they Said that everything was going To turn out alright in the end But here I am now At the edge, waiting for the End of my story to come Nearing the last page And all I see are lies And all I see are lies Where is the "alright" that they Spoke of? It's not there, I'm surrounded By darkness By lies And all I see are lies And all I see are lies As I close my eyes and Turn the final page And all I see is blackness

nobody speaks truth like this anymore. everyone is full of lies. lies to either make you feel better, or worse, or lies to cover up something they did wrong

I like the repetitious use of seeing lies and hearing lies. It really emphasizes the quantity of lies the speaker is hearing, and how overwhelming it is.
Beautiful!
