Once Loved, Now Lost

Contributed by MeKissa on Thursday, 2nd January 2003 @ 11:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

There once was a time
When the sun shined brightly
Casting a warmth over my soul
Where the trees were always green
And the flowers never quit blooming
Always looking forward to tomorrow
While at night the stars dangled
Tiny windows to a world unknown
Occasionally one falling
Giving chances for one to make a wish upon
And never was there a cloud in the sky
The brilliant illuminations always there

But a time arrived when the sun's light dulled
Cooling off my essence
The colorful trees turned gray
The flowers, their petals fell
Hoping the sun would shine once again
And the night-time was only darkness
No skylight was to be seen
No shooting stars
Leaving wishful-thinkers hopeless
The clouds rolled in, covering the sky
A mysterious world left behind the shadows

You came to me so radiantly
And in an instant, you disappeared into an oblivion
