Sober Rein

Topic: selfstruggles

I wont say goodbye until were over.
And if we are I wont stay sober.
Cover my tears by downing beer.
Muffle my screams from my fear.

Mistakes were made I dont know how.
In my tears is where I drown.
All this pain it fades away.
Every time I see your face.

As I say goodbye because were over.
Nothings wrong Im just not sober
Intoxicating beer creates my fear.
These aren't my last tears so it appears.

Rate my pain I dont know how.
Im so sad I smile not frown.
Cry these tears, like November rain.
In the end its all the same.

Im wont say goodbye this isnt over.
Im so glad, cant believe Im sober.
Hold my breath until I scream.
I love you so much its not a dream.

And you love me I dont know how.
Im so glad these things worked out.
In the end its not all the same.
I no longer feel the pain.

good write... i liked the repeating of the 'goodbye' line... and not many people can use the word beer in a poem and make it rhyme well without sounding to childish... but yours worked for ya pretty well... keep up the good writes
