"A dozen moments, laughs and smiles A dozen years, a dozen miles Along one endless trail A set of footsteps, pressing forward A set of faces, slipping towards Our chapters final tale.."
The glances back, more now than then Push all those days so far away Some things Id wish Id live again Some seconds, Id replay With every face, with every name There lies a golden ray A light from whispers, jokes or games To brighten up our way
And its because its not the end I find the unseen tethers That make us family, siblings, friends, Might wash away with weather But ere we leave from coast for coast Because were still together I propose one final toast To ties that shall not sever
So, though we cant just stay the same And never once was never In memrys chalice, dreams champagne,
This ones to forever.

Excellent. Even though families are stewn hither and yon in our hearts we are all still connected. I find that to be the strongest connection ever made. Powerful.

This is very good. I have not read your poetry in a while and I must admit I am very refreshed. |
