Six feet under, Lies a world of fallen comrades A fellowship of the ones, Whose purpose has been met
Some sought fame, And are spoke of even today, Yet others lie in mass graves, Never remembered, a corpse of unknown
This is a personal dedication, To the ones we forget to recall, Living under shadows of names, The ones whose purpose was rather small,
Some had family And knew love with no limits Others lived quietly Alone, unknown, and hidden by bigger things,
I solemnly swear From this day forward I shall never take thee for granted For without the base of the pyramid The ones on top would fall You are the strength The modest The ones who understand That the meaning of life is through, The small things, Such as love, faith, and happiness Rather than fame, wealth, And a known name to be spoken, Forever on and on,
So when I see a portrait Of someone known worldwide, I will take a magnifying glass, To see what is holding them in place, To see what really matters To see you.
