I Can Never Replace You

Contributed by Essentially9 on Saturday, 4th June 2005 @ 09:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I Can Never Replace You

You see my teardrops
Displayed on the page,
And your heart is not
One I can replace.

You're one that cared
When no one else
Was there.

I wish you never saw my tears,
Because then maybe you
Wouldn't have taken my fears
Of never getting through.

So I mark the page
Of the poem that you dedicated
In lasting memory,
And I try not to put my life to waste
With your wishes unwonted
By everyone else but me,

But it's hard to feel you no longer there
While you're in heaven, where I'll never be,
Because I'm not sure if you still care.

Its essentual I read your poems.
Your thoughts never bring me down
This is sad,but true to some
Life goes on

Be it happy or something blue

Well now, I like this one.
A bit softer than most of your other writes, less dark, yet sad and somehow deeply sensitive.
Hmmm...and don't sell yourself short on heaven either, underneath that darkness is a good heart.

Great write. Pain and beauty once again. I love your writing. The last stanza is written amazingly and with great structure.

This is a moving poem. Grief, and pain, and regret, and love, all brought together with skill and grace. A beautiful piece.

Very poignant...a softer sorrow to this piece, but deeper somehow...This write has a more honest quality to it then some of your poems. I feel like you lifted your 'veil' so to speak...Good use of expression.
