I Came to You

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Can you see whats happening?
I went to you for a helping hand
I know you can see my hurt and struggling
I can see it in your eyes when you are staring
At me; watching to see what Ill do
Wondering whats my next move
The only thing you know is from the poem
That I snatched from your palm
You were watching me since you read
It; I feel your eyes drilling into my head
I look away, I look down
I cant face the frown
That is plastered on your face
You are wondering if this is just a phase
If its the real thing or not
Well, Ive given it all Ive got
Ive failed many times, this is true
And you are the one I went to
But you dont know how to handle my pain
I went to you for some reassurance and to gain
You on my side, but now I dont know
I try to run, I try to go
Now that you know, I want to leave
This was just a mistake I do believe
I shouldnt have come to you
Now you are confused too
Wondering whats wrong
And why Im so down
Your eyes they are watching me
Waiting, for me to see
But I will not look into your eyes
That takes too much and I know Ill cry
All I know is that I came to you with courage
And now Im in rage
Im mad at myself and yelling
I shouldnt let you see me falling
I know youll try to catch me
I know youll try to fight my enemy
D*** it I dont know why
I came to you when I want to die
I know youll fight my urge
To take a lurch
Off of the side
Thats why you are beside
Me now, looking, watching
It feels like you are holding
Me back from the edge
Like you wont let me near the ledge
I dont know why
I went to you when I cried
When what I wanted was death
When all I wanted was to be dead
I went to you friend
When I wanted the end
I dont know why I did it
I dont understand a bit
Why it was you
I came to
