My Bleeding Heart

Contributed by Karlee14 on Sunday, 5th June 2005 @ 02:27:26 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Everything I had,
Thrown away for you.
Feelings bottled up for so long,
That I can't breathe.

And I sit here,
Staring at your picture,
Until my vision starts to double.
Pale as the bleeding black rose of death,
In which it lies next to your picture.

And I can't feel you,
There beside me.
My anger turns to tears,
And I cry until every memory comes flooding back.
Fears so deep,
That I am immobilized.

And I wish I could run away,
From everything.
But something is holding me,
Someone is stopping me.

As I stand in a crowd,
Full of empty faces.
Full of unfilled dreams,
Pushed away in terror.

And I can't stop the blood,
From pouring out.
My heart can't take your hatred, anymore.
Because it's bleeding,
Soon there will be nothing left,
Of our love.

And I can't take that.
My despondency so deep now,
That my lungs fill with hate.

How am I supposed to live,
Without you at my side?
I can feel the life draining from me,
I can feel the knife in my bleeding heart.
I can hear your voice,
But it's drown out by your words of the past.

And my vision becomes blurry,
As well as your words,
I can see no more,
My night becomes the sky.
And my thoughts,
Combine with the water,
Until there is nothing left of me.
