my internal tornado

Contributed by unbreakable on Sunday, 5th June 2005 @ 07:48:01 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

How does a tornado born between two worlds
breed this much hurt? sink or swim
so much destruction in nothingness
untouched by past or future, you or him

The raging storm must be internal
because if you were and he's yet to be
the present is me and the present is now
and I'm falling apart between you and he

I want to move on, but the damage is severe
the blood's flowing thick through my veins
but it can never make it to my heart
My heart died with your love, leaving only pain

you wrapped the barbed wire around my body
so the greatest pleasures bring me only sadness
I can see him waiting around the next corner
that you're still in my line of vision is madness

this tornado is tearing my life apart
Do I deserve to live again, be held again?
is there a flicker of light, a flicker of hope,
or will this catastrophe be my end?

Please help me set this twister free
and give me your blessing now
your world is over as far as I'm concerned
and the next is so near if you'll only allow
