Calloused hands,
Caressing her face,
Bloody streams,
Falling into place,
Memories fading,
Peace finally coming,
The sound of his tears,
Were too overwhelming,
She tried to yell out,
But no sound came,
She tried to reach,
But there she remained,
Darkness pressed in,
Filling her ears,
Making her choke,
Condemning her fears,
She let out a whisper,
Her vision was blurred,
I love you, she said,
And that was all he heard.
