This rooftop is understanding
So swallow my pride, or choke till I die
Cause this fall's unforgiving
So i'm calling on my angels
To get my fall tonight
And I'll crawl on my hands
Pouring out my insides.
These days are tired and the nights are overwhelming
As we spoke through silence
A routine silence, with nothing more to say
So drinks to the skies
And blood to my eyes
I'll be understanding tonight
I'll understand everything tonight.
Long goodbyes and second chances
Forgiving all we fight for, forgetting all we lose
Cause we're losing it on the way things happen
Doing all we do to fill up the quiet
Break the awkward silence consuming our lives
We're spending our time try to not keep our distance
And speaking trivial, and trite.
And I'll find some way to cut myself open, over and over again
And I'll find some way to bury it all
And so let's be honest because I am through holding my breath as my lungs breathe for you
The air is too thin inside this room
I need this like the water in my lungs
The drowning in silence, biting my restless tongue
Because we're too consumed, too shallow
Playing the victims, playing the innocent ones
Scattered in my heart, torn up and ripped apart
It's ripped apart..
And these cold winter nights, without you next to me
It feels like twenty below
Frostbite on my heart
This pain and suffering are feelings that you don't need know
I'm Freezing now, Cold to the ground
Silence breaks the glass, when your not around
Take this pain from me, Take it slow
It feels like, feels like twenty below?
