No One Said

No one said that life would be easy
No one said Id never feel any pain
No one said the misses
Would out weigh the gains
No one said there would be a tomorrow
No one said the sun would rise again
No one said that excuses
Would erase all our sins
No one said that wed be together
No one said that our love would be that strong
No one said that what we do right
Will save us from the wrongs
No one said that were promised a lifetime
No one said wed breathe another breath
No one said that we are exempt
Of the reality of death
No one said that life isnt precious
No one said that we shouldnt cherish every sec
No one said that living life recklessly
Isnt over extending our neck
No one said that there is no value in hugs and kisses
No one said that we dont need our daily fix
No one said that taking time to appreciate our loved ones
Shouldnt be part of our daily mix

Jeff this thrives with wisdom I needed this today and the best part of this poem to me was the hugs and kisses part so very important reaching out to loved ones and friends each word a vivid masterpiece you sealed this tight

| The world is cold but warmth can be found in love and in compassion. Life is hard but that is what makes it so damn good. Nice write. I have a few nitpicks but no suggestions. Keep it up. |
