No matter what happens
or how hard I try
I'm second best always
and I throw it aray
no one cares about second
it just not the best
but just getting so close
it gets in my head
everyone says
that its awesome up here
but what do they know
what think those so dear?
so I battle and scramble
and fight for the first
but it never works out
even if I'm never the worst
boyfriends and running
averages, grades
all of these things
first do I crave
don't tell me seconds awesome
when you dont know the truth
don't mean to sound harsh
but its just you don't do
I'd rather be constantly
consitantly last
than tasting that privlidge
and never being that fast

I get where you're coming from. I have felt the same way. However, for me,
the thing that helps that the most is remembering the blessings that I do have.
Yes it is frustrating to never get first, but it's also nice to do better than some
people. It's good you expressed your feelings, that's awesome. But until
you've been consistently last, I don't know if we can say we'd rather be last.
This was heartfelt frustration in this I think. Good job.

Hi KC
I guess I don't understand... I mean I would think (obviously incorrectly) that consistent failure would be the worst. Still, when you are battling for the top, you must set some sort of expectations (as opposed to failure where expectations are pretty much nonexistent). You did get exasperated right, btw. I guess I do understand your frustration after all, but I can't always see you as a #2. Someone who is so close to the top IS going to get the gold eventually. |

what are u talking about u crazy girl?! yer always ahead of me! how do u think it feels always being LAST? ok well not always last... but im way farther down the line than u. think about that b4 u complain about being second... which u arent always u have been first i NEVER have.
