Burning Skies-Elle.Yates
I want to fall asleep
In someones arms
And wake up to the gorgeous face
I always dream of.
The beauty you carry
Is within you
Even your cover
Is so lovely.
You are everything to me
I think I'm doing well
At not telling my own secret.
Don't you think?
Tonight as I'm walking
Floating, with the stars
I think I'll stop by your house
And I'll take you with me.
Because I'm tired of being alone
And I wan't someone with me.
But not just anyone, only you.
Will you join me?
I'll save you from your pain
I'll take you away.
Give me a chance,
I won't let you down, I promise.
The lightening flashes
And lights our way home
So do the fireflies
Hiding in deep forests, under bright star burning skies.
Now we've reached our destination
We turn around, fly home.
I lay you down, rest your head my love.
I'll be right here when you awake.
Let your dreams collide with mine
Sleep well,
Sweet dreams
And goodnight.

Welcome to YPDC, try and enjoy yourself here... we do.
this was a very up lifting poem it did make me smile and not just o0n my face, on my heart as well, thank you for sharing it with us. theb over all tone of this poem was happy but therr were parts that sounded sad but were up lifted later one truly a magnificent posting, Bravo, well... read you later.
