breathing and thinking
and caring too much
try to fight it all off
thinking of every touch
soaring in moments
wanting so much more
than what I have here
here is so little, there is not near
because here is nothing
I take what i got
and hold it all dear
can't take it all away
no one touch my stuff
its mine its all here
and if you take it i'll scream
and pound and scream more
if you move it i'll notice
and if its gone i will care
because all that i've got
so little and bare
i want to live life
with freedom and bliss
and learn to let go
to all that I miss

| Good poem, KC. An interesting insight into an interesting gal. You're the only one who can let go. I know, 'cause I've been there. I remember many years ago cataloging everything in my head. And if something was moved half an inch, I made a big stick about it. For me, materialism was a replacement (and not a good one) for what I didn't have. Now, I am not saying that is true in your case, but I'd rather you own stuff rather than stuff owning you. |
