It's So Hard To Say Goodbye

It was so hard to say goodbye.
And yet I still cry.
And remember the day I had to say that one big word bye.
You know it doesn't seem like saying goodbye is a hard thing to do.
But trust me when you have to say it for the last time.
It's the hardest thing to do.
You know it's easy to say goodbye when you know they're coming back.
But when you have to say it and you know there's no turning back.
It is the most painful thing to do.
And it's so hard trying to make it through.
Because you can't believe that's what it came to.
So the next time you say goodbye will it be the last time or will they come back?
