A smile across your face brings one to mine, But as time moves on down the line, it fades and becomes invisiable. The hour of the clock says time to take you to places you want to go, The smile moves in and feels my soul. No longer needed like time before, Love walked out of the door. The sun rises and each day brings new hope, My mind and soul reaches out to you and wants you to hold. years spent in the waist time of pretend. You don't really want to be my friend. I ache for my friend. my mother in law. I ache for the time spent and dreaming for our future to share. now it has risen to the top of the volcano Heated words like lava flows down and kills what we had. Did we have anything at all. No nothing was there but pretending, Now what is left is a piece of my broken heart.

Awesome...very deep...and the metaphors add nicely to the effect of the poem...well done! |
