babe why do i love you
don't look so innocent
even though you don't know how i feel
i wish i could let you know
but there's just one thing
you're married and 35 years older
what should i do?
i can't go on like this
i must change my mind
but when i see you every day i can't help loving you more
your job makes you stressed each day i see
every time you yell at us i try to show you i understand
i smile when you tell a joke
i love you can't you see it?
people tell me that it's wrong and i guess i know it's true
but
how do you tell your heart it's not allowed to have it's only desire
after classes end you sit at your desk
checking the papers of the students who don't care
they don't care and you don't care
but i do
you talk to your friends before getting in your tan minivan
home again to your kids and love
one more day you made it
it seems like you made it
everyone thinks you made it
so you go to bed and wake up
to make it through once more
i want to grow old with you
understand you, love you, have you love me
this is how i feel and it won't change
even though they are just a young girl's feelings
and presumably frail
they will not change though i try to make them
so i try to accept with an aching heart the thing i know is true
i sit at my desk and gaze at the equation on the board
do my work and talk idiocy with my friends
i sneak a glance and you glance back
did you finally read me that time?
