give me the key
to these chains that I hold
I was always there for you
I was your clay to mold
I don't know what I did
for you to make me bleed
I don't know why it always
has to be you versus me
why can't we just be happy
and be together, but no
we lie and pretend
we were never better
I'm tired of crying
you versus me
waking up every morning
not being able to breathe
no one will win
no one will ever lose
not even a smile
could make us choose
When it's not god enough anymore
not even love
when all we do is fight and
push comes to shove
when our hearts break
and we fall to our knees
why can't we just forget that
it's you versus me
