In the Absence of Affection

Contributed by jyssvw22 on Sunday, 12th June 2005 @ 02:13:04 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Yes its true
I do care what you think
I am shallow -
Does that make me weak?
A complete stranger,
You are
Among thieves
The curator of the trust
Ran off with the deed

In the absence of affection
A new type of erection
Emerges
Where the mind stimulates
The fingers permeate
Submerges
In your conscious
All the points
Begin to relate
Connect
A common denominator
To which all
Is tied to fate

What will be will be...those stuck in the past may never see...

Actually an admission of caring would be a sign of strength I think. Too often we're all afraid to care; especially as often as people get burned.

The last part was a unique metaphor.
