It seems the masterpiece
Is buttered by the bread
That a pay-off in the end
Is being played out in your head
Right as you read this
You may fall to the ground
Choking-
Gasping for air
Dead
The masterpiece
Subliminal blasting images
That run parallel with your existence
They stalk you in the night
And clog your vision
When you squeeze your eyes this tight
The capillaries burst
Sends an aching charge
Down your spine
Where the amphetamines
Are discharged
When the hallucinations
Begin their charm
And inflict their appeal
The masterpiece which calls you
Is at that moment revealed
Forget all you know
Just for a brief second
Imagine
A childs perspective
Innocent and objective
Fair yet imaginative
Held in your grasp
As a captive
A graceful hostage
The masterpiece
Falls to its knees
And collects its courage
