I am ready to confess,
I
am waiting for the end of the world
I know this is a silly,
youthful sentiment
understanding does not keep
my irrational fears in check
a day I get what I want
a day I am completely satisfied
a day I feel safe, well
that will be the day the earth stops spinning
the very day the sun fades
the moon explodes and
oceans rise in cataclysmic waves
to decimate
the solitary space
I occupy
WHY?
this girl never got what she wanted
this woman will be the first to concede
she has everything she needs
yet she wants
a nighty-night in dreamland
I have it all
your arms wrapped around me and
were breathing synchronously
I feel insatiable
and
satisfied
I have you
anxiously I look up
the clouds remain
gravity is fully functional
but it was a good night in dreamland
wide awake now
I nestle myself against you
I feel comforted and safe
now
i can sleep
the sun continues to burn
the moon wont spontaneously combust
somehow, I know
the seas are tranquil so
maybe I was meant to be here
with you
maybe the world
will end soon
it has to
someday...
