I Never Knew

Your words had cut me
Right down to my soul
I don't want to hold on to you
But I can't seem to let you go
I thought we were friends
So close and so tight
We were always together
Everyday and every night
Out memories came by the hundreds
All the times we shared
Our laughs by the thousands
And all the times we cared
I didn't think about them
But now I can't help but see
All the secrets shared
Just between you and me
Why disbelieve what I say?
When I've never lied to you?
I thought you knew me better than that
But I guess it's you, I never knew
