I'm venturing out, to the vast unknown
I'm going to a canyon
An empty hole blanketed
By walls of truth
And false reality
But it can't be a canyon
if the cliffs don't exist
And all there is
Is emptiness
I'm venturing out, to the vast unknown
I'm entering a cavern
Dark tunnels filled
With hidden
Watchful eyes
But it can't be a cavern
if creatures don't lurk
And there is nothing sinister
Hidden among the fog and murk
I'm venturing out, to the vast unknown
I'm laying in a field
Green with yellow freckles
Extending forever
A shadeless oasis
But it can't be a field
if it isn't endless
And there is no sun,
and no eternal bliss
My temporary journey
Won't last forever,
Although it appears that way
There's one thing that's certain
And of this I am sure:
Wherever I go, and
Whatever I find
I know I'll return
With complete peace of mind
