Digging my way out
From what seems a never-ending black hole
Running from the inevitable
Spiralling out of control
I'm lost in a place I do not know
Completely disillusioned
I'm overcome by uncertainty
Totally lost in confusion
I'm seduced by the forbidden
Unaware of what's next to come
I'm aroused by the mystery
Yet I'm slowly coming undone.
I hear the enchanter calling me
To not give up the fight
He tells me to continue digging
And to keep my goals in sight.
But it's dark here in this hole
To even see what's right ahead
Again he says " Keep digging"
And to ' Think about what he's said'.
I've now dug all the way to the ocean,
It's as beautiful as it is wide
And I hear the voice chanting once more
"It's always better on the other side"
I've learned alot from this deep dark hole
From which I can now look down
Sometimes you need to be in a dark place
To find what I have found.

amazing poem. you capture the confusion well. It also sounds like you wrote this about coming out of depression....and about finding things where you least expect them...wow. it can speak of so much!
