Bewitching

Contributed by hauntedscorp on Saturday, 18th June 2005 @ 09:26:10 AM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Swirls of smoke fill the air
taunting me to go places I do not dare
In the haze I do indeed see
dancing visions of you and me

Taking a sip of an exotic elixir
I see what you're saying but it seems to perplex her
hands on my hips; feel me bump and grind
I can sense your presence even though you're hard to find

Whisper spells in my ear
capture the moisture when I drop a tear
Whisk me away from the crowd and the noise
show me you're far different than those other boys

Speak to me from across the border
I'll let you know if you're out of order
Tell me what you want me to do
I'll bet you've always wanted that said to you!

Push through the crowd; lead me away by the hand
press me up against the wall and take the love you demand
Emotions we feel thick like the smoke that suffocates
anticipation and the thrill cause our bodies to precipitate

Once our bond is complete
we shall have the world at our feet
Lead me away to that place you call home
cause I think I've caught your enchanting syndrome...

Wow this just gave me a feeling of days long past. Some dusty cantina, way south in Mexico. An old movie. I don't know it just took me away. I like how your poetry does that. You are an excellent writer. Peace to you. Laura
