The Nightmare

Contributed by gwenevere on Sunday, 19th June 2005 @ 01:36:42 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Ocean dark, as black as night
Seagull's shiver, hide with fright
Mists are swirling, round and round
Swoosh then swish, the only sound

Air is putrid, wet and dank
Out of mists there creeps a plank
Followed by a bow, a mast
Ghostly shadow from the past

Hear the creaking of the wood
Feel the terror in my blood
Yo! Ho! Ho! the pirates cry
Who is waiting there to die?

Skull and Cross bones flying high
In that evil, blackened sky
Where's the treasure?, voices boom
You had better find it soon

Close my eyes, I dare not see
What is right in front of me
Open them and take a peek
Waiting for my skin to creep

What is that? a ray of sun
telling me day has begun
Oh! thank goodness what a fright
Just a terror of the night

I am now convinced of the fact that you have been reincarnated to this life from a time in the middle ages..there can be no mistake of this ..lol
as you write so fluidly and convincingly of the time..

I love your work!
a magnificent write indeed-
