Ive hit the ground
And theres no one around
They used to tell me
That when I fall fighting
Get right back up and try again
But Im always using my brain
I then realize
All of their lies
They say that once
You hit the ground
Theres no where to go but
To go up
I think of this saying
And think why bother trying?
If I go up, Ill just
Fall back in the dust
For what goes up,
Has got to fall

ooo this one i do like... it makes so much sense... its like this one quote i read... "if at first you dont succeed, try again. if you fail a second time, quit. no use in being silly about it."

Yes i have heard that cliched saying too many times before...and yes it kindof annoys me.
I can very much relate to your thoughts of giving up and the frustration I sense in this poem. Very thought-provoking indeed.
