Card castles crash

Contributed by Doriens_Picture on Sunday, 19th June 2005 @ 09:19:10 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Something new came into play
I almost felt at home
But I was the only one in the game
So I felt more alone
And my palace came crashing down
As things that should not be often do

Card castles fall
Romance comes and fades
Comfort comes and falls away
Into obscurity
The undersetting was cratering
It gave into its self

A new one is put in its place
Built up of hopes and dreams
A foundation that can
Take the ware of a thousand years and more
It will be there and see the end of you and me
At least in this life time

But in this one I
Stand and watch you
On the graying tower
Still and transfixed
Gazing at the I love
Angels that come and lose their wing

As they lost theirs you
Gave me mine
And when it comes to you
I cant advert
My gaze from something
So perfect and so beautiful

What we have
Will never come undone
You are not just my home
You are my whole world
That is one thing no one in my past
Has ever been or could ever be
You are the only one for me

Something new came into play
I have never felt so at home
We both play this game well
We make it real
We will never be alone
I wont let this palace crash
Nothing has ever felt more right
