When we first met
you gave me a pair of makeshift wings
everything was perfect
you had to tear evrything down
I gave you all I had
all you gave me was a pair of makeshift wings
I'll fly through this life
on paper wings
with my eyes
wired shut
so I can't see
the hail of gunfire
coming from your eyes
It was your choice to leave
and I may not be the best man
but I but I wanted to be
I guess I blew it
You say you are happy
but are you really?

So we're down to
a broken heart
a broken back
all thanks to your indecision
so make an incesion
at my throat

wider shut

Pin me down
with pushpins
mount me on your wall
watch me wither and die
Just for your pleasure
I'm your prey
