I sit & watch as my dreams are shattered
There's nothing more I can do
As I lay here beaten & battered
The only thing I recognize is you
Hold me just once more
This could be the last time
You're the one I breathe for
In my heart, you'll always be mine
Please don't cry for me
For I'll always be by your side
It's time for me now to break free
So I no longer have to hide
I step into the bright light
I turn around & smile
For me it all ends tonight
For you, in a short while
