Im sorry Ive betrayed you
Ive joined the other side,
I tried to keep from it
But the feelings wouldnt subside.
He was persistent,
Unlike anyone before,
And every day I realized
I was liking him a little more.
I pulled away at first
Tried to keep from falling
But before long
I had answered his calling.
I replied with a yes
After the dozenth time
But now that Ive left you
I feel Ive done a crime.
I was single for life
Forever, I was sure,
But now Im taken
And theres no cure.
Ive become one of them
One of the elite, the few,
Giggly and happy
I dont know what to do.
Im in so deep
Its above my knees
But I didnt fall at once
It was more of an ease.
I didnt know where I was headed
Or how I would land,
But I didnt worry
When he took my hand.
He promised me happiness
A world with no fears,
A place of comfort
Full of smiles, not tears.
Im sorry again
For leaving you alone,
But now that Im here
Im not sure how to condone.
Im glad that I found someone
I wish you could do the same,
But trust me when I say
I take all the blame.
Love is pain
Unlike any other kind
But you must feel it
So later you arent blind.
Youll choose to see things different
Because you want something real,
But its not about sights
Its about how you feel.
