Taken aback
Another attack
Not knowing his causes
He never pauses
His words of unclear
Not knowing to adhear
He speaks lies
She then cries
He has no shame
He is to blame
Using her heart for his gain
Grasping all that he can retain
Feeding off her pain
Yet he's the one to complain
No ambitions or needs
Off her heart he feeds
Never letting her feelings reside
His only remedy is to hide
Hiding from what is real
Never knowing what to feel
Uses her weaknesses to take control
Ripping her heart apart til it is no longer whole
Pretending to love to gain affection
Useless words full of deception
Keeping her idle and waiting at his whim
making her believe she will always love him
Not allowing her feelings to pass
Wanting options while being crass
A once great love turned to selfish desires
He takes and takes, no sign he'll retire
Shed a few tears to keep her wanting more
Then backing out again and leaving her heart an open sore
Taken aback
Another attack

Oh yeah! I could feel the bitterness and frustration throughout this write! Great flow; it moves at a steady pace, and I like the descriptive quality to the words you chose. This is certainly one of my faves, and I'm really glad I read this!!! Great job yet again.

Very candid and expertly expressed ahd heartfelt expression of a painful love. Poem has a good rhyme and flow.
Some people take partners, others take hostages.
