Timepiece dawn by E A Collins on Jun 16
Spent wings of fractured butterflies Drift to concrete sand Desert arroyo licks dry The memory of moisture Pulled deep from the vacuous horizon Bleeding dead puddles of Thoughtlessness. Sweeping piles of ordinance Shell-shocked spinsters dance Rhythm rhyming resembling naught From above and beyond Einstein claps time With a beat you can dance to As the ebbing tide licks moldering lightening whelks And eternity falls To the setting sun.
